Volunteer Bureau

Are you recently retired or do you have some spare time to give to this Community Service?

Many of the elderly, infirm and disabled patients who visit the surgery have door-to-door transport provided by volunteer drivers from the Volunteer Bureau. They are also taken to hospital and various other medical appointments. We always need new drivers, so any offer of help would be very welcome whether it be for anytime or for specific days or times. No regular commitment is expected and drivers are free to accept or refuse drives as is convenient to them. A mileage allowance is paid.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver please telephone the Bureau on 9831814 between 09.30 and 11.30 am Monday to Friday or call in personally, during the same hours, at the office which is at the Burghfield Methodist Church on Reading Road.
