CLINICAL TRIALS
Over the last two years we have completed several drug trials in various therapeutic areas from flu treatment to asthma and diabetes and, in the next few years, we plan to increase the amount of clinical trial work undertaken at the surgery. We very much hope that you would be willing to help us by participating in these studies as we feel they will prove beneficial both to you and others in the future.

MORTIMER CLINICAL TRIALS

We have been running Clinical Trials at Mortimer Surgery for the past seven years and have an impressive track record. We have experience in Phase II, III and IV studies all of which have been approved by the appropriate Ethics & Research Committees. Neurology Woman’s Health Migraine HRT Menhorragia Ophthalmology Age Related Macular Degeneration We have a dedicated clinical research team consisting of two study nurses, a study co-ordinator and Dr Christopher Strang oversees all studies acting as the Principal Investigator. GP Partners are all trained in ICH GCP and are happy to act as co-investigators and additionally our research team have experience in IVRS and electronic data capture. Additionally, we have been successfully audited on a number of occasions. We only recruit from our patient population – currently approximately 11,000 patients, as it is important to us that we have the full medical history of our patients in order that we maintain the highest safety and efficacy both for our patients and in meeting study criteria. Our facilities include temperature controlled fridge, freezer, secure drug storage area with separate lockable cupboards, in-house Dispensary, dedicated centrifuge, audiogram, interpretative ECG, alpha vitalograph, etc. We can also comfortably accommodate clinical research associates when monitoring.
