GP TRAINING

We are very pleased to have met the stringent criteria of both the Oxford and the Wessex Region training schemes to enable us to train qualified doctors for 0ne year in the speciality of General Practice. This means that as well as the regular partners, there will be an additional doctor working within the practice for one year, full-time. As part of the training process, there will be occasions when we would wish to videotape consultations. This is purely for teaching purposes and the content of the tapes will be treated with the same strict confidentiality as your medical notes. Your written permission will be sought both before and after the consultation if the video is being used. We very much hope that you will be able to co-operate with us in helping our attached doctors develop their communication skills. As in previous years, we will continue to have visiting medical students from both Oxford University and the Royal Free Hospital in London for attachments of two weeks.
