Dr Iain Rock Dr Rock was born in Stourbridge in the West Midlands and educated at Old Swinford Hospital. He qualified in 1991 from the University of Birmingham Medical School. Following two years in Hospital Medicine he decided on a career in General Practice. He travelled to Queensland Australia, where he worked for year in a variety of different positions including being a General Practitioner in the Outback. Following his year in Australia he took four months out to tour Australia, America and New Zealand. On returning to England he continued his hospital training at Stoke Mandeville Hospital before moving to North Somerset for his Registrar year.

He has been a Partner at Mortimer Surgery since 1997. He has a wide interest in family medicine but has a special interest and skills in sports, musculo-skeletal medicine and rheumatology. He also greatly enjoys minor operations and dermatology. He is an enthusiatic supporter of Rugby Union and Cricket and is a keen golfer. He has recently taken up shooting and enjoys walking with his wife and two dogs.

He is married to Clare who is a part-time G.P. in the neighbouring village of Theale; they have three children.
