Sarah qualified in 1983 from Southampton University. As an undergraduate she worked for four months in a mountain hospital in Nepal where due to poverty and rural isolation medicine is at its most challenging. After graduating she worked in hospitals in Portsmouth and Southampton completing her pre-registration year followed by further hospital experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Accident and Emergency in Norfolk Sarah joined a General Practice in Wootten Bassett near Swindon as a part-time Partner in 1989 where she remained for eight years. Following the appointment of her husband as Consultant Neurologist in Reading and Oxford in 1997 she and her family moved to Reading and she joined Mortimer Surgery soon after as part time Partner job sharing with Dr French. Sarah's special interests are in Dermatology, Paediatrics and Contraception including coil fitting. She is involved in the recruitment and support of staff at the Surgery. She has recently moved into the village and has four sons.
